Amphitrite is the sister of Thetis and the wife of the sea god Poseidon. She is understood to be immortal, omnipresent, and superhuman in strength.
Her specific powers include metamorphosis, teleportation, and breathing underwater. For these reasons, I placed her third in the Transformation series and depicted her as water birds flying through and breathing beyond the chaotic experience of the metamorphosis process. As she cyclically undergoes death to a former version of herself, she rises from the chaos of letting go of what is outgrown and experiences new forms, versions, and perspectives of herself. Although her expression, form, and location might continually change, her pure essence as water doesn’t.
