RUNES COLLECTION
A collection of paintings inspired by runes, each representing a specific energy or concept. Runes have been used for centuries to gain insights, make decisions, and tap into personal intuition. The idea is that each time you look at them, you experience them differently, in the context of that moment and with what meaning they have for you.

I didn’t intentionally set out to create a series of art inspired by runes. I’ve always been preoccupied with spiritual understanding, exploring frequency and consciousness, and navigating a turbulently overwhelming emotional life.
Since I was fifteen, I've been attracted to and lived with runes. My original set came from my inability to leave a unique shop in Tasmania without them. My father and I had no idea what runes were or meant. The eccentric and warm lady who owned the shop gave them to me, explaining what they were and that they belonged to me. I’ve lived with the pink rose quartz runes ever since. They have been with me through seventeen moves and a period of homelessness.
After I instinctively created this body of artwork, I knew they were inspired by the energy and frequency of runes and which one each is. From fifteen to now forty-two, I arrive at a place where the runes demand attention. It is a time when I understand my journey of words and art, and what I have learnt from experiences I have been fortunate enough to survive has beauty that I will spend the rest of my life sharing in mutually empowering ways.
